Introduction
CO2 Management & Carbon Trading
Climate change concerns have quickly moved to the
forefront as global warming rhetoric from environmental
and energy-investor groups intensifies, forcing US
coal-based power generators and fuel producers as
well as regulators to confront the issue of capturing
and safely storing the heat-trapping, greenhouse-gas
CO2.
Managing CO2 and meeting future power demand are
being hotly debated in the boardrooms of US utilities
as they anticipate future air-quality restrictions
that are as yet undefined, but will likely have to
be dealt with in the next three to five years. This
workshop will explore the technology that is key to
managing CO2 now and in the future.
